Penguin Census Data 2007
The number of active burrows and the number of chicks have increased in 2007 compared to 2006. This trend is consistent across the rest of the Kingscote colony.
Because the census is conducted through daylight hours, not many birds are sighted, but typically for each active burrow there are 4 penguins: two adults and two chicks.
